Henri and Knightly Highlight Butler Effort in Loss to Bradley
Sept. 12, 2005
Junior Susana Henri posted a double-double and senior Megan Knightly racked up 10+ digs for the 37th consecutive match, but the Bulldogs dropped a three-game match at Bradley Monday night. The Braves improved to 4-6 with the 30-23, 30-20, 30-18 win. Butler falls to 3-4 on the year.
Henri had a team-high 11 kills to go along with 10 digs. Knightly had a match-high 16 digs from the libero position. Sophomore Michelle DeGeeter had nine kills on .217 hitting. Butler hit .133 for the match led by freshman Dana Daprile's 26 assists.
The night belonged to the Braves' Lindsay Stalzer, who set a Bradley three-game school record with 29 kills. She hit .414 for the match, a big reason the Braves hit .338 on the night. Bradley held a 61-37 advantage in kills.
The Bulldogs have a quick turnaround, heading to Ball State Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match. Butler then travels to New York for the Cornell Invitational over the weekend.
