Men's Soccer Announces 2008 Spring Schedule

Indianapolis, Ind. - Matches against Louisville and Ohio State highlight a nine-match schedule for the Butler men's soccer team's 2008 spring season, which was announced on Tuesday (Feb. 5). Six matches will take place in Indianapolis, including three on the Butler campus. The Bulldogs kick off the season by hosting the Erin Mills Soccer Club on March 5 at the Butler Bowl before taking on cross-town rivals Indianapolis and IUPUI on March 20. Butler then heads to Louisville on March 28 for a match-up with the Cardinals, who advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last fall. After hosting both IUPUI and Indiana Wesleyan on April 5, the Bulldogs head to the IPFW Showcase in Fort Wayne, Ind., on April 11. The season ends on April 19 when the Bulldogs take on Ohio State, which advanced to the Men's College Cup National Championship in 2007, at Warren Central High School. Butler closed out the 2007 season with a 9-7-4 record and a trip to the Horizon League Championship semifinals.
