A. J. McAdams is in his third season as an assistant men's soccer coach at Butler. He joined the Bulldogs in the spring of 2001, after playing and coaching in Evansville for most of the previous decade, including a head coaching stint at Evansville North High School. In two seasons as the top assistant coach to head coach Joe Sochacki, McAdams has helped the Bulldogs to 20 victories, a Horizon League Tournament title and a berth in the NCAA Men's Soccer National Championship. McAdams has been very active in club soccer in Indiana. He's a former director of coaching for the Evansville Blitz (the largest club team in Evansville) and former head coach of the Evansville United 83's. He led the United 83's to an 80-4 record over four seasons. The Butler assistant, who also boasts coaching experience in the state Olympic Development Program, is currently serving as head coach of Dynamo 85's in Indianapolis. McAdams was an all-state sweeper at Evansville Memorial High School, and he went on to play on the men's soccer team at the University of Evansville. He's married, and he holds an "A" coaching license. |
