Jason Taulman is back for his second season with the Butler coaching staff after a three-year absence. He was a member of Steve Farley's staff in 2001 and 2002, and then spent one season as pitching coach at Ball State and two years as pitching instructor at Trinity Ballpark.

Taulman first joined Butler's staff in 2001, after spending three years as a professional player and owner/director of the Tippecanoe Baseball Academy. A 1995 graduate of St. Joseph's College, Taulman pitched professionally with the Lafayette Leopards and the Sioux Falls Canaries.

He was an assistant pitching coach at St. Joseph's in 1995-96 and served as pitching coach for the Lafayette Leopards in 1998.

Taulman was a four-year starting pitcher at St. Joseph's, and he helped lead the Pumas to a Great Lakes Valley Conference title in 1995. He led the GLVC in earned run average in 1994-95.
