Returning phone calls is extremely difficult. We will respond to ALL e-mails inquiries. If you do not receive a reply, we did not receive the e-mail. Mission To give collegiate and post collegiate athletes the best opportunity possible to excel in their respective events by providing a fair, well managed competition at one of the best track & field venues in the United States. Facility The Indiana University Michael A. Carroll Track & Field Stadium located at 901 W. New York St. This stadium has boasted 4 World Records, 1 World Best mark and 8 American records over the years. The stadium has played host to the U.S.S.R. vs. U.S. ('82), NCAA Championships ('85), Pan Am Games ('87), Olympic Trials ('88), and the World Police & Fire Games ('01). This facility is a Mondo 8 lane track (9 lanes for events 200m and shorter) with 42" lanes. The approaches for all jumps and the javelin are Mondo. Discus and javelin are held on the main field while hammer and shot put are held on the upper field. UCS equipment is used throughout the stadium. Eligibility These are open meets. Post collegiate & unattached athletes are welcome but still must follow the entry procedures. Register Your Team Enter Meets We are using an on-line web based entry system this year. 1. Beginning Thursday, March 30 you may register your team at http://www.nftl.net/meets/register.asp You will receive an e-mail within 24 hours that verifies your username & password have been activated. You only have to register your team once (i.e. - if you register for the Indy Relays, you do not have to register again for the Butler Twilight). NOTE: If you registered last year, utilize the same username and password. 2. Once your username & password have been activated, log into the system at www.nftl.net/meets/index.asp and enter your roster. 3. After you have entered your roster, add the meet desired to "My Competitions." 4. Two Mondays prior to the meet date, athlete entry opens. Enter your athletes into their events. THERE IS NO DECLARATION PROCESS. YOUR ENTRIES ARE YOUR DECLARATIONS. Entry Fees Unattached Athlete $15 per event Late Entry Fee (past entry deadline) $10 additional Collegiate Athlete $15 per athlete up to a team total of $200 (men's and women's teams are considered separate).
    NOTE: If a team enters more than three athletes per event, an additional $5 per additional entrant will be charged. This is an ENTRY FEE, not a COMPETITION FEE. When you submit your entries, you will be expected to pay your entry fee, regardless of whether you actually compete or not. We allow you to bring your entry fee with you to the meet and do not require you to send it to us ahead of time. Please do not take advantage of this courtesy. ALL ENTRIES ARE FINAL DECLARATIONS and should be received by the deadlines entry deadline. Please do not take advantage of our generosity in allowing entries to be submitted at a date so close to the competition. Entry Marks Please list the athlete's best performance for the 2005 outdoor season. Field events entry marks must be in metric. Heat Sheets Performance lists of athletes accepted into the meet will be posted the Thursday before the competition. Heat sheets will be available only on the day of the meet in your packets and will also be posted at the venue. Time Schedule A Friday evening session will only take place for the Stan Lyons Invitational and Butler Twilight if needed. The running events time schedule will be finalized after entries are received and will be posted the Thursday before the competition. Spectators and Parking Admission will be $5 per spectator. There is a parking fee of $4 per car. Spectators should park in the lots directly north of the stadium on the opposite side of New York St. Entrance to the stadium is located at the NE corner of the stadium (scoreboard end). Packet Pickup Team and unattached packets may be picked up 90 minutes before the first event at the NE entrance to the stadium, just off New York St. Timing System Finish Lynx timing is used as a primary and backup system. Rules NCAA rules will be followed. In addition, all athletes and coaches are expected to show human kindness and respect for all meet management personnel and officials. Medical Athletic trainers will be on site. If your athletes have any special needs, a letter from your athletic trainer or team physician must be submitted with your entries. Weigh In All throwing implements must be weighed and checked by the deadline prior to competition at the station located near the trackside equipment room at the east end of track. All implements must be marked by a field judge prior to competition. Minimum Marks Minimum marks for all field events MAY be set by the meet director after all entries are received. Each competitor's first legal attempt will be measured, then only attempts better than the minimum mark will be measured. Check-in Field event athletes check in with the officials assigned to that event. All runners must check in at the hip number table located near the equipment room at track level, just east of the finish line. Results Results will be posted on the wall near the scoreboard following the completion of each event. Full results will be available on our website (www.butlersports.com) the Sunday after the competition.
