Randall Wilkerson joined the Butler Athletic Training Staff as an assistant athletic trainer in the fall of 2007. She is the primary athletic trainer with women's volleyball, softball and the men's and women's tennis teams. Prior to her arrival at Butler, Wilkerson spent two years at the University of Georgia working towards her Master of Science in Exercise Science. While at Georgia, Wilkerson worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with the women's volleyball team. She also provided care for the Georgia cheerleaders and dance team. She also was an Approved Clinical Instructor as well as a teacher's assistant for the Athletic Training Education Program. Wilkerson also spent a year at Florida Atlantic University working with the football team as a staff intern athletic trainer. Her responsibilities included providing medical coverage primarily for the defense. While at FAU, Wilkerson also worked with Drug-Free Sport and helped with drug testing. Wilkerson earned her undergraduate degree in exercise and sport science at the University of Florida in 2004. While a student, she worked with the men's and women's swimming and diving team and the women's volleyball team. While working with volleyball, the team played in the 2003 National Championship. Originally from Lauderhill, Fla., Wilkerson began her career in athletic training as a student athletic trainer at Piper High School in which she graduated in 2000. She has been certified as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers' Association since 2004. |
