Penny Goldberg is in her first year as an associate athletic trainer at Butler University. She will primarily work with women's soccer, women's swimming and baseball along with assisting in medical claims coordination.
Prior to her arrival at Butler, Goldberg served as an assistant athletic trainer for California State University, Northridge and the athletic trainer for the San Fernando Valley Quakes of the Premier Development League. While at Northridge, her primary responsibilities included stints with women's volleyball, men's soccer and baseball as well as serving as the insurance claims coordinator. Goldberg spent two years as an assistant at the University of San Diego while earning her Master's Degree in physical education (biomechanics) at San Diego State University. At San Diego, she was responsible for the daily medical operations of the women's soccer and softball programs as well as being an Approved Clinical Instructor in the Athletic Training Education Program and Adjunct Faculty at San Diego State. Goldberg has also worked with the San Diego Padres, San Diego State University, San Diego Mesa College, San Diego Enforcers, Lincoln High School and Rampage Futbol Club. Goldberg has been certified as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainer's Association since 2001. |
