Ryan Galloy begins his first year as Head Athletic Trainer at Butler University after serving as an Associate Athletic Trainer during the 2006-07 season. Prior to that, he sereved as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for two seasons. He is the primary athletic trainer for men's basketball and men's and women's golf while overseeing football coverage. He also serves as an adjunct professor in Butler's Physical Education department. Galloy returned to Butler where he received his bachelor's degree in athletic training and physical education in 2000 while also playing football for the Bulldogs. After graduating from Butler, Galloy completed a Graduate Assistantship as the Athletic Trainer in charge of men's soccer and baseball at San Diego State University. He also spent a year as the Head Athletic Trainer at La Costa Canyon High School and another as the Head Football Athletic Trainer at Concordia University in River Forest, Ill. In addition to his undergraduate degree earned at Butler, Galloy received his master's degree in biomechanics from San Diego State in 2003. Galloy has been certified as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainer's Association since 2000 and as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2001. |
