Julie Frymyer is entering her first year at Butler as an assistant athletic trainer. She is the primary athletic trainer for women's basketball and men's and women's cross country/track and field while also assisting with football.

Frymyer comes to Butler from Florida International University in Miami. She spent two years at FIU completing her Master's Degree in exercise physiology and working primarily with the football and softball teams. In addition she also served as insurance and rehabilitation coordinator for the football team. Frymyer also worked as an Approved Clinical Instructor in the athletic training education program as well as an adjunct professor.

Prior to FIU, Frymyer completed her undergraduate work at West Chester University obtaining her BS in athletic training.

Frymyer has been afforded the opportunity to work on numerous research projects involving heat/hydration while at FIU and West Chester University. She has presented her research at the NSCA convention as well as been published in JAT and NATA News.

Frymyer has been certified as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainer's Association since 2005.
